The classics at the Tomaselli are the Viennese Melange (pronounced: “Mellowsch”; a cup of mocca with milk and whipped cream) and the traditional “Einspänner” (a cup of mocca in a glass with whipped cream).

The anticipation is equally great whether young or old when the hot chocolate is ordered at the Tomaselli. Only the best chocolate is used, stirred into the hot milk by hand and topped with whipped cream.

A good espresso is also a must at Café Tomaselli: this is traditionally served as a “Kleiner Brauner” (a small brown) with a jug of fresh cream or milk.
